Fantastic read on the history of this amazing story

A fascinating read and extremely well written. Philbrick writes in an easy, flowing style that is filled with history and detail. It brings this incredible story back to life. I first saw the movie and I’m glad I read this book afterward as it fills in the history of Nantucket (never knew the Quakers were behind the whaling industry).

A must read for any fan of history, the sea, or early America. Recommended.
