Perfect for the Earliest Reader

Mostly illustrations, this book brings the reader through dog’s search for a way to cool off. Words are all easily sounded out and very limited, but the author manages to bring touches of humor to the story. A few puns may be out of reach to readers without American culture (the play of "chilly dog" instead of "chili dog", and of course the title), but the story is still worthwhile even without those jokes. My seven-year-old likes to read it to my two-year-old; it is a perfect book for that. A Kindle addition is also available.
