The Hong Kong version is presented in True, remastered, HD quality. The new 5.1 DTS-HD MA Cantonese track is remasteredbut it’s NOT a Fortune Star remaster. So it’s very clear with no extra follies. And the colors are vibrant and dynamic. The picture is crystal clear.
The "extended Japanese version" is also included. The Japanese version has the original Cantonese mono track in 2.0 LPCM. It’s the more "raw" Cantonese track, a slightly different animal than the Cantonese track on the Hong Kong version. This is one of those releases where the Japanese version is actually WORSE in visual quality (with burnt-in subtitles). Audio quality is debatable.
The extended Japanese version doesn’t have anything significant. Just an extra 12 seconds between Jackie and Jackie’s "twin" and it’s all just extra dialog within ONE scene.

映画自体は、かなり前の映画になります。90年代前半?当時まだDVDが世に復旧していなかった頃…レンタルビデオ屋で、VHS版をレンタルで観て「実に面白い」と感じた映画。今頃になって。という言葉を付け加えると難癖がましいですが…デジタルリマスター版の日本語吹き替え収録での発売は、嬉しい限りです。ただ、余談だけれども…観ていて気になったのは、最初の白黒画面で、赤ちゃん時代のジャッキーを人質に取って逃げていた犯人を追いかけていた刑事を演じてた人。あの俳優、一体だれなんだろう…あんなアクションの出来る刑事役を演じる俳優なんて、ジャッキー以外知らないんですけど…もしかして、普段は、顔は写らないスタントマンだったりして…(笑)
