ホロヴィッツの演奏だけでなく 彼の幼少の頃からの様々な話や写真 又 彼を支えた妻・録音技師・ピアノ会社スタッフなど 周囲の人たちの様子が 色々わかる。伝説のピアニストが 身近な人間として感じられる。８０過ぎての演奏録画だが 音楽の神髄を感じ 圧倒的な才能に 魅了される。特に ６０年ぶりの祖国ロシアでの演奏会 人々の熱狂的な雰囲気が痛いくらい伝わる。それに応えるホロヴィッツの演奏。 故郷 とは・・・・・偉大な演奏家にとっても 特別なもの と 感動した。
