The original play of the great musical

I found that most of the dialogues in this play were accurately transplanted in ‘My Fair Lady’. It was a revelation to me because I had thought the musical was a remote offspring of the play and would have only a rough design in common with it. But it was not! It is very intriguing to know that both the happy ending and the Ibsenian ending stemmed from one course of story, and that they are both natural. It is not the problem of which is better, but of which is suited at my present sentiment.
