Bossa Nova の感想

This is my first exposure to The Pixies. They have such a rabid following that I expected to be blown away by this disc. I wasn’t. It’s OK, pretty much straight ahead electric guitar, bass, drum vocal "weird" rock. KindaCheap Trick meets The Cure. The only songs on the disc that I really grooved on was, "Is She Weird", where they change the timing pattern of verses from what one might expect, so each time around you feel shorted one measureand it works. Small details like that are great, and the overall songwriting was consistently good, just not a life-changer for this reviewer.
