Jack London Boxed Set: White Fang / the Call of the Wild の感想

The Call of the Wild tells a story of a husky dog.　He is stolen from his comfortable life in the sunny California and sold into a rugged life in the desolate and frozen land of northwest Canada. Though cruelly treated by some men, he becomes an excellent sled dog. But after his master’s death, he returns to the wilds of the North to fulfill his destiny to become the leader of a wolf pack.

In contrast, White Fang tells a tale of a lone wolf, who is engaged in a fierce struggle for survival in the Arctic region. He is taken by men, badly abused and made to fight vicious dogs. When seriously wounded in a dog fight, he is saved by a kind man, and ends up as a dog in the sunny California.
