I bought this book at the end of 2003 with the resolution of loosing weight. South Beach Diet works if you follow the phases accordingly and I did loose weight. In fact, I lost 15kg in 6 months time and I found that my energy level increased. The recipies are difficult to follow in Japan as some of the ingredients are not found here.
