A Wind in the Door (Madeleine L'Engle's Time Quintet) の感想

Although lesser known, this, and the other companion books to A WRINKLE IN TIME, are probably even better. The evil is named and it is the Echthroi. Meg worries over Charles Wallace, now six, who is having trouble being accepted in school. But the trouble goes beyond mere black eyes: Charles is deathly ill because of his mitochondria. And the choice of a single farandola of one of his mitochondria could sway his fate. Through kything and the help of a (singular)cherubim, Meg, Calvin, and even Mr Jenkins have important parts to play in the battle with the echthroi. Of the three of l`Engle`s books we have read so far, this is probably my son`s favorite because of the speculation over dragon fewmets and learning about mitochondria and farandola, and the interesting situation of dealing with multiple Mr Jenkinses.
